Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party she has previously worked in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011) and the spokesperson for the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a CNN political contributor from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her professional career with an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and was later elected governor of Iowa. Psaki was later appointed as the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, and as regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2012, Psaki returned to political communications as press secretary for Obama's reelection campaign for 2012. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. There was speculation that she was going to replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her appointment at the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement for Carney on May 30 in 2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she remained there until the end of Obama's presidency.
