Kyra Minturn
KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on August 19, 1965 is an American actress. Her most well-known part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The show ended on August 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role as a regular on Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and family therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian, of English origin. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said she is a part of Passover seders.
